2nd visit to krabi and stayed at Aonang Sunset again. This time around, did not get rooms as i requested, but the rooms are still ok, though we got 1 without a view at all.Our bath was choked everytime we use it and have to wait for at least 10 min before the water clears. My wife informed recep but nothing done.Overall it was good except for the mozzies, could be better reception, wider variety of breakfast menu.

We are a family with 2 kids from Sweden. We had also my kids cousin (12) with us. I had booked this hotel to have a place to stay directly after our arrival to Ao Nang. Later on we had planed to find a better place. And that was it. The hotel is OK but nothing more. You have a very good contact with hotel personel. They are very friendly and helpful. The rum was OK too. For a family with 3 kids, it is always difficult to find a place to stay. We got the biggest room (1105, first floor) but the room had a littel boring balcony with a wall one meter from the balcony = no view. The breafast was very poor and not organized well. We stayed there for 3 nights. Many couples from scandinavium were there too but no families with kids. My tips: If you want to book hotels through internet, just book for 1-2 days and then while you are here you can go around and check the rooms and prices. There are hundreds of hotels and you can always find a room. Don t forget that you can reduce the rent if you ask for it (business rule number one). Right now I am staying at Aonang Orchid resort. I think its citys nicest hotel with the best pool. Got 15% discount ;) Have a nice holiday!

Staff were very friendly. Breakfast good except for the coffee which was undrinkable. The beds were so hard we could not sleep. There were columns of small ants on the wall. I informed them after the first night and they said they would spray but clearly they did not as the ants continued and even got into my suitcase. I would not stay there again.

I stayed recently at Ao Nang Sunset, for 9 nights. Great small hotel. Staff is very accomodating, pleasant, and fun to talk with. The room was big, clean and Sat TV. Only problem I noticed was as others have said, is that the shower curtain in the bathroom is about 6 short of the bottom of shower so water gets all over the bath floor which I felt wasn t that big of deal. Bed was king size, great mattress, not typical Aisan hard mattresses, with soft down comforter. Breakfast was typcial standard Thai breakfast, not outstanding but certainly ok. Location was easy 5 min walk to beach and lots of things to do around the area. I ended up renting a mountain bike for 100 baht a day about 15 min away and did a lot of biking during my stay. Easy island to ride around.

We have stayed at this small hotel many times and this summer we stayed all together 16 nights. In the receprion is sign: The best litle hotel in Krabi and that is cirect. The personal is very friendly. Rooms are clean and big and very light and all rooms have nice balcons. The best is to stay on the 4th floor overlooking the small pool because then you have a small oceanview also.Breakfast is ok with fried eggs etc, the only thing we miss is some youghurt but that i easy to shop and bring with you.Location is good, some minutes down to beach and the restaurants and shops. The price is very good for the quality. It´s perfect for adults and children in schoolage but not for small children because there are no childrenpool. We will stay in this hotel many times in the future and we recommend it to all people who are looking for a good clean small hotel with friendly staff and all this for a very low price!

The hotel was excellent value for money and the staff were very helpful - I managed to leave my wallet open losing all of my money when going for a walk but I was fortunate that one of the staff had found it and returned it to me when I asked if anyone had handed in cash - I was really impressed with this as it would be very easy not to admit to finding it. The location was excellent close to shops, restaurant, long boats and very cheap laundry services. I had a massage in the hotel which was one of the best I have ever had - I recommend this hotel

Big clean rooms and to a good price. The pool area wasn´t very nice and try to get a room with poolview or you might get a wall as a view from your room!!!

Very nice and quiet place. Small swimmingpool but cozy with a lot of palmtrees. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. Big room and a nice balcony to sit on. Close to everything. The only thing bad is that the staff sit with the guestcomputer surfing on sites with guns ect ect. And when the guest is coming for using they sit 1-2 minutes to finish wath they doing. I will stay there again if i go to Ao Nang again

Good Breakfast was ok. You could borrow towels and books. Great tours with superb beaches and snorkeling. Good location, near to the boats to Railey and close to shopping. Bad The room smelled of mold. The view was not so hot and consisting by an electric pole and a restaurant backyard. Useless pool area. Watch out for the Indian guy outside Peter s Collection.

Worst hotel ever stayed at. Booked a room high up, get one at ground floor. The outlook was a wall one meter away. The sun never reach the room so it stink mouldy. The neighbour was a discotheque with loud music to 3 at night. Deep bas sounds. Ask for a nother room. Said the were all book, though I could see room free. After complained again I got a room 4th floor, away from the disco, which was some better, but instead there was a very noising aircondition right outside the balcony. The pool ( 8 meter) had 5 chairs which was enough, as there was a very noisy machine going at the pool so no one stayed there more than for a fast swimming. If you like noise this is the place for you. Breakfast very basic. Fruit was bananas only for most of the time. Only toast bread. You must often ask for plates to be fill up again. Half of the staff friendly. The other half never smiled. There are hundreds of hotels in the area, take one of them, it can only be better.

Good location, big-sized rooms, clean and comfortable. Liked the private balcony and the strong aircon and fan in the room. Staff unsmiling throughout, compared to the service staff in koh samui and phuket. People in krabi outskirts friendly and helpful. Rented a car and got lost a couple of times. Managed to make a couple of friends.

I had a pleasant 3-night stay at Ao Nang Sunset Hotel. The hotel location is perfect, just in the midst of the the town, with shops and restaurants all nearby, and the beach only 5 minutes away. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional. The room was spacious and clean. The down points were breakfast which offered little variety, the shower curtains are posted too high, causing the bottom to be too short, and, my sea view room had a small glance at the sea across other rooftops. All said, I recommend this hotel for location and value for money and great staff.

Convenient location, yet relatively quiet because it is not located in the main street. It is only a short walk to restaurants and shops. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The room furniture is quite unique. Breakfast is relatively unimaginative, but plentiful. The staff were efficient and very helpful. A nice relaxing place to stay. Very good value for the price. Would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a clean, quiet, comfortable, inexpensive hotel.

Fantastic hotel, friendly staff. Clean, basic room. Good value for money. It has everything you may need and is only a few minutes walk away from the beach. Very close to a variety of shops and restaurants in a great area of Ao Nang. You are able to book excursions through the hotel aswell. I couldn t fault it, stopped in a number of hotels in Thailand and I doubt you could find somewhere nicer for your money.

Too many comments about hotels in general are thtat the staff are: not friendly, not smiling. etc. I smiled. I was polite. I was freindly. That s what I got in return. Everyone went ouit of their way to help me. Could not give sa higher recommendation. THEY WERE GREAT

Nice hotel, clean rooms and bathroom. Quiet, not in the very centre of Ao Nang but still in a good location. Friendly staff, they really liked children. Breakfast ok. Massage was good. The pool was not so big, and too deep for a child.
