| The hotel seems old worn. the staff looked bored and tired. If you want a place for the night before leaving Ao Nang this may be an option, but only because of its location. Otherwise I wouldnt reccomend it! |

| Ao Nang Villa was just okay. In their defence, we had just come from a 4-5 star hotel in Singapore, but in comparison Ao Nang Villa was sadly lacking. There were no facilities to iron our crumpled clothes other than the hotel laundry, which took four hours for its quickest service. The rooms were very hot unless you left the key in the slot, but they only gave one key per couple, so this was impossible.
We dined at their main restaurant on the first night as we were tired and my husband wanted the lobster advertised on a big billboard at the door. However, they had no lobster as the hotel was too quiet and we hadn t preordered it!! Why then was the billboard not taken down?
The staff were not as friendly as we are used to in Thai hotels, and it took forever to get anything from housekeeping, ie my daughter waited ten hours to get a mattress topper for her incredibly hard bed, and this was after constant repeated calls, we called for extra towels, and got extra doonas etc. etc.
If you dialled any number such as housekeeping, spa, etc. there was never any answer, but the front desk always answered and put us through.
Overall in my view it barely rates a 3 star, 2.5 at best. |

| Aonang Villa is a very nice hotel, well located, close to the beach, shops, restaurants and travel/longboat facilities. The only downfall was that they had overbooked and we were required to go to an ajacent hotel (Golden Beach) for the first night. They had prearranged all this so it was not a real problem just inconvenience. We were subsequently upgraded which was very nice. |

| Great hotel, rooms and lovely pool areas and we could really recommend the Spa facilities as well. Good location close to everything (shopping, restaurants etc) and the longtail boats that can take you to Railey and the islands outside Aonang (since Aonang beach is not so good itself...) |

| Unfortunately for Ao Nang Villa we stayed the previous three days at the Cha Wan Resort. On viewing our room and the resort we decided to return to our previous hotel.
I have stayed at Ao Nang Villa before and really enjoyed our stay which was over the Christmas period in 2005/6. Little has changed since then. It is in a great location just across from the beach on one side and the main street on the other. Walking distance to everything. I found the rooms to be perfectly suitable but quite bland and small. Slightly worn. No dvd player, which parents with children might have find useful on the early to bed nights, had there been one. We were to stay in a grand superior room but I believe the next level room had dvd players. The resort is large, and quite spacious, with nice gardens and pool areas. The staff were initially friendly and helpful but also a little unhappy when we asked to check back out again. Our cancellation fee was two nights accommodation, which was disappointing, although we thought it worth it to return to Cha Wan Resort.
Although perfectly adequate for some travellers who like the larger resorts with a more impersonal staff, it was not for us. |

| Despite some of the comments on this site and others, we had an excellent stay at Aonang Villa. Very nice hotel with wonderful pools and grounds; in a perfect location for seeing the local area; all at a reasonable price. If you re looking to have the staff pamper you 24 hours a day then this is not the place for you; pick one of the higher end resorts at two to three times the price. However, the staff was attentive to all of our needs when we asked, and all in a timely manner. Their English skills were just fine. Obviously, it s not their first language, but if you used the right words and phrases, they were able to answer questions and meet needs; with a smile. We had a Grand Superior room on the third floor of Building 5 overlooking the Coral Pool. Nice room; stocked with free water, coffee/tea each day; and a great balcony. The location is perfect for seeing Aonang; right on the beach; easy access to longboats; easy access to the main drag with all the shops and restaurants. Massage at the spa was excellent but pricey; beach massage places are very cheap but not quite as nice. Those staying at the Aonang Villa were mostly Europeans in the older catagory; although there were a few there that fit the younger or middle age group; and a few families with kids. Resort tended to be quiet, but not uncomfortably so. We would stay at Aonang Villa again. Unless you re looking for the 5-star JW Marriott type rooms and service, you ll be plenty happy with Aonang Villa. |

| I booked for two for two rooms for this hotel. When I arrived they gave us connecting rooms which was good. However, I discovered when I went in to the rooms that the master bedroom was elderly type room with supporting railings in the bathroom and without a bathtub. I requested the reception to change the rooms and they agreed. However they didn t have a connecting room which was fine with me. The rooms were quite specious and they were generally clean. The pool was awesome and we really enjoyed it. Breakfast was not very impressive compared to other hotels that I have stayed in Thailand as it didn t have many verities. The hotel offered complementary afternoon tea between 16:00-17:00hr which was a good thing. Wireless internet services was available in the rooms with good accessing speeds. |

| The worst part of staying in Aonang Villa was that we were only there for one day. This place was spectacular! The guest services were amazing, they provided us beach towels and bathroom towels. We were permitted to take our beach towel on a snorkeling excursion that we went on after checking out, then when we returned, they gave us fresh beach towels and let us use their poolside shower facility to clean off before getting a taxi to the airport. They could not have made us feel more comfortable and more welcome during such a short stay! The rooms are immaculately clean, the pool is clean and the view is to die for! The beach is literally about ten steps away from the resort. I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed this place. Obviously, its services are a little overpriced. You can get cheaper tours and cheaper restaurants by just walking down the board walk. But I definately recommend sleeping here! |

| This is an excellent hotel. Probably the nicest hotel on Ao Nang beach. The rooms are a good size and clean. The hotel and grounds are very well kept. The staff are friendly although, it does take some time to get some things done so; you need to be a bit patient. One word of warning, this hotel is very popular and almost always full so; if you have a late flight, you are better off booking the room for an extra day because you more than likely will not get a late check out. The breakfast buffet is very nice and the food in general is good. I would highly recommend this hotel. |

| The location of the Aonang Villa is great. It is in the busy part of Aonang Beach but yet the room is quite quiet. However, the bed in the room is very very hard. After sleeping there for three nights, both my husband and I had a back problem. |

| Really nice hotel on good location. Stayed in a Deluxe Lanai room which is on the 1st floor with direct access to the pool area, changed to a superior room on 2nd floor, cheaper and I think it was actually nicer (interior) than the more expensive Deluxe. Also we had a few bugs and a spider (not cockroaches or very big spiders though!) on the first floor room but on the second floor we didn t encounter any of these, that might be just luck, I don t know. Even though, I can recommend this hotel and will stay there again if we ever go back to Ao Nang, and I am very bug-oriented:) and appreciate clean rooms. |

Breakfasts were fantastic - loads of fresh fruit, a great choice of freshly cooked food. Friendly efficient service. I d definitely go back. |
